Goethe Prize for Advanced High School Students of German
For the last 12 years, the American Goethe Society has organized the Goethe Prize essay contest to honor outstanding advanced high school students of German in the area.
Information for 2021 TBA
High School students in the DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia region who are enrolled in German (Level 3) are eligible to participate. Participants should write a short essay of approximately 400 words (in German) in response to the following prompt:

The essay should relate to language learning, but may also consider German literature, society, and culture. Submissions, including a nomination form, must be emailed to the AGS by the student's High School German Instructor.
